Abstract: The clinical features and pathologic findings of one case of cystic nephroma was reported，and the safety of treatment by retroperitoneal laparoscopic partial nephrectomy evaluated. The patient was a 20-year-old woman, and found left renal cyst for 1 year with pain in her left flank one month ago. The patient was diagnosed as complex renal cyst, then underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. In the operation, the tumor was located in the middle and lower part of her left kidney, with a number of small sample masses, and a solid mass near the renal parenchymal part. The operation time was 224 min, and the artery occlusion time was about 17 min. The blood loss was 20 mL, with no blood transfusion. The pathology was cystic nephroma. No operation complication was seen, nor was recurrence after a short-term follow-up. Cystic nephroma is a relatively rare benign lesion of the kidney. Retroperitoneal laparoscopic partial nephrectomy is a safe and effective way to treat cystic nephroma.
